WhatsApp has launched a desktop app that mirrors whatsapp onĀ users’ phones so they can message from their computer. The addition to WhatsApp’s capabilities brings it in line with Facebook’s other messaging platform Messenger, which has a native Windows 10 app in addition to a web version.
The new app works similar to WhatsApp Web. Users are need to scan a QR code on their computer screen with their phone to connect. This is thought to improve the app’s security. With the desktop app users will not have to log back in every time they close their web browser and no they still don’t have calling feature on PC or Mac.
WhatsApp’s desktop app is free to download and is available for all software versions after Windows 8 and Mac OS 10.9. You can download it hereĀ – https://www.whatsapp.com/download.
