The Marvel Studios team officially took San Diego Comic-Con by storm.

As expected, studio president Kevin Figi was supposed to show several upcoming films, including Shang Chi, which, as we now know, will be released on February 12, 2021. Thanks to Marvel’s continued commitment to making the Marvel Cinematic Universe more diverse, Shang Chi will strive to capture the heart of China, the second-largest box office country in the world.

February 12, 2021, also marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year, so it is unlikely that Marvel synchronizes its Black Panther and Captain Marvel episodes around African American History Month and International Women’s Day, respectively.

In the typical Marvel style, the details of the film are still a bit scarce.

The film will be shot by Destin Cretton, and Dave Callaham will be the writer.

“Shang Chi” in cinemas since February 12, 2021.
