HYPERX CLOUD STINGER REVIEW: FOR THE GAMERS

-

The HyperX Cloud Stinger is an ergonomic headset. It is made of lightweight plastic and is pretty comfortable when gaming for a long time. The ear-cup is well cushioned and comfortable. It has “over-ear” design. The plastic used on this headset is lightweight and quite flexible. Black colored padding on the top very well blends with the black design of the headphones and why not, the red-black duo is the signature color of HyperX branding on both ear-cups.
HYPERXAs an analog headset, the Stinger is universally compatible with anything that houses a standard 3.5mm port. The first meter of the cord terminates with a single 3.5mm jack and can connect to mobile devices and games consoles. For use on a PC, the included extension cable ends with two 3.5mm jacks – one for audio, one for the microphone. Unlike on other HyperX headsets, the cables aren’t braided, which means they’re a little easier to tangle and look less fancy.HYPERX

Left and Right are marked and according to the design, the noise-cancelling microphone is on the left earcup and can be turned on or off by swiveling up and down which makes an audible ‘click’ sound. Sadly, it isn’t detachable, but it does offer some flexibility.

The ear cups rotate 90 degrees and come in a decent amount of faux leather-coated Memory foam padding. A volume slider is present on the underside of the right cup, which allows for easy adjustment of audio volume.

The Stinger feels surprisingly lightweight. The headband never feels like it’s compressing against your head, while at the same time doesn’t slip when moving erratically. It’s a very comfortable headset even for very long gaming sessions. The padding used throughout the headset provided a nice, soft feel, and it didn’t feel like to constantly vent my ears from excess heat.
